Liberian president suspends FIA director amid malpractice allegations

The President of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has suspended Stanley Ford, the Director General of the Financial Intelligence Agency (FIA). The suspension is due to allegations of financial and other malpractices within the agency.

President Boakai emphasized that there is no tolerance for malpractice. He has instructed the Ministry of Justice to conduct a thorough investigation into these allegations. "He expressed confidence that the investigation will ensure that justice is served."

Furthermore, President Boakai has urged Mr. Ford to cooperate fully with the investigation to resolve the matter quickly.
