President Boakai hosts iftar dinner celebrating Liberian Muslims' conclusion of Ramadan

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. hosted a Ramadan dinner to honor Liberian Muslims as they concluded the holy month of Ramadan. The event took place at the EJS Ministerial Complex in Congo Town and was attended by many followers of Islam.

During the dinner, President Boakai highlighted the importance of unity and understanding within Liberia. He acknowledged both the Christian majority and the Muslim community, emphasizing their contributions to the nation's identity.

He stated that "every thread, every color, and every belief contribute to the beauty of the collective identity of the nation," stressing that Liberia's strength lies in its ability to unite for peace, prosperity, and progress.

The President urged Liberians to see differences as opportunities rather than obstacles. "In diversity, there is beauty, and there is strength," he said, encouraging attendees to share in fellowship and break fast together.

As an advocate for peace and harmony, President Boakai called on citizens to dismantle barriers dividing them. He encouraged embracing differences as a means to learn and grow as a nation. He expressed hope for what can be achieved when people stand united.

He concluded by thanking attendees for accepting his invitation and wished everyone a blessed Ramadan.

Mamaka Bility, Minister of State Without Portfolio who coordinated the event, thanked President Boakai for his dedication to uniting Liberians across religious lines.
