The President of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has announced new appointments across several government sectors. These include positions within the National Commission on Higher Education, the Liberia Maritime Authority, the National Lottery Authority, and local government in Sinoe County.
For the National Commission on Higher Education, Dr. Isaac P. Podah has been appointed as Deputy Executive Director for Operations and Rev. Monen J. Duoe as Deputy Executive Director for Administration. The board of this commission will be chaired by Dr. Jarso Jallah Saygbe and includes representatives from various educational and professional organizations such as the Ministry of Education and the University of Liberia.
Prince Menkalo Gbieu has been named Chairperson of the Board of the National Lottery Authority, with members drawn from key ministries like Finance and Justice.
In Sinoe County's local government, Peter Nyenswah will serve as Superintendent.
At the Liberia Maritime Authority, Mr. John F. Harvey takes on the role of Deputy Commissioner for Vessel Registration & Safety.
These appointments require confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable. President Boakai emphasized that all nominees should uphold "diligence, commitment, integrity, professionalism, and loyalty in service to country."
