President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., of Liberia has held separate meetings with the leadership of Liberian refugees residing at Buduburam Camp and Liberian students attending the Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA) in Accra, Ghana.

During his meeting with the refugee leaders, they congratulated President Boakai on his election and expressed gratitude for his government's support. They specifically thanked him for efforts to repatriate them to Liberia and ensure their successful return. The leaders also highlighted ongoing challenges, including inadequate basic services such as water, sanitation, and latrine facilities, as well as poor living conditions in the camp. Food access remains a significant issue for nearly two thousand Liberians at Buduburam Camp.

Speaking on behalf of the group, President Dennis Williams urged President Boakai to expedite their return to Liberia so they can contribute to national rebuilding efforts. In appreciation, they presented a plaque and prayed for the success of President Boakai's administration.

In response, President Boakai expressed regret that he could not visit the camp due to scheduling constraints but promised to facilitate their smooth return home despite administrative challenges. He also provided a token contribution of ten thousand United States Dollars towards food aid.

Separately, President Boakai met with Liberian students at GIMPA who raised concerns about tuition fees, stipends, and accommodation issues. The President assured them of swift action to address these challenges.
