Offshore West Africa partners with UK Trade & Investment for 20th annual expo

Offshore West Africa Conference & Exhibition in collaboration with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) will host its technology event Tuesday to Thursday for the oil and gas industry at Eko Hotel & Suites in Lagos, Nigeria.

Celebrating its 20th anniversary as it prepares for the annual conference, Offshore West Africa continues to benefit from its long partnership with the UKTI; both organizations recognize the mutual advantages of teaming up.

Last year, nearly 2,400 oil and gas industry experts gathered in Lagos from more than 30 nations for Offshore West Africa 2015, and this year, the sponsors hope to match or exceed those extraordinary numbers.

UKTI reaches out to U.K.-based enterprises to support their global export efforts. It also strives to attract international firms to consider the U.K. for establishing or expanding operations.

“We are delighted to announce this partnership with the UK Trade & Investment team,” Glenn Ensor, Offshore West Africa’s event director, said. “Having worked closely with the UKTI in both Nigeria and Ghana, as well as in South East Asia, we are delighted that we can officially acknowledge the combined efforts of both parties, which enable us to make valuable connections for those British companies looking to work in West Africa as well as providing the opportunity for those within West Africa to increase their business prospects.”

The three-day summit will offer conferences led by prominent industry stakeholders and exhibits, featuring products, systems and services from international oil and gas vendors, and provide opportunities for learning, networking and business development.

This year's theme revolves around “Positioning for a Sustainable Future.”

Additional strategic partners in the 2016 production include the International Trade Council (ITC), the African Energy Association, Scottish Development International and the Energy Institute Nigeria.
