The Director General of the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC), Professor Amin Alhassan, visited the ECOWAS Representative to Ghana, Ambassador Mohammed Lawan Gana, on February 12, 2025. The meeting aimed at enhancing collaboration between GBC and ECOWAS as the organization marks its 50th anniversary.
Ambassador Gana highlighted the significance of supporting regional and national media networks in raising awareness about ECOWAS activities. He pointed out that media partnerships are crucial for strengthening public engagement and fostering a sense of regional identity among member states.
Professor Amin Alhassan acknowledged previous challenges that have affected publicity efforts and expressed GBC’s commitment to overcoming them. He assured Ambassador Gana of the Corporation’s readiness to work closely with the ECOWAS Representation in Ghana to improve the organization's image. This initiative aligns with the broader vision of ‘ECOWAS of the People: Peace and Prosperity for All.’
