Francisco Edu Ngua Mangue presents credentials to ECOWAS

The Ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Nigeria, Francisco Edu Ngua Mangue, has presented his credentials to the President of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission, Dr. Omar Alieu Touray. The presentation took place in Abuja, Nigeria on February 10, 2025.

Dr. Omar Alieu Touray acknowledged the submission of the letters and announced that an official ceremony would soon be organized to honor Ambassador Mangue's accreditation.

In his remarks, Dr. Touray commended the strong relationship between ECOWAS and Equatorial Guinea. He also praised Equatorial Guinean President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo for his leadership and significant contributions to maintaining peace and security across Africa, particularly in Central Africa.

Dr. Touray expressed optimism that President Mbasogo would contribute to addressing security and socio-economic challenges affecting various regions within Africa. He stated: “All the entities and regions of our continent are experiencing difficulties. The role of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo in resolving them will be greatly appreciated. Africa is a family, and the problems it faces have harmful consequences for its citizens.”

Accompanying Dr. Touray during this occasion was his Director of Cabinet, Abdou Kolley.
