Ambassador Ngozi Ukaeje, the ECOWAS Resident Representative in Guinea-Bissau, visited Mr. Ahmadou Djamanca, the Director General of Guinea-Bissau National Television (TGB), on January 17, 2025. This visit aimed to develop strategies to enhance the visibility of ECOWAS programs and activities within Guinea-Bissau.

The primary goal of this initiative is to strengthen TGB's capabilities to improve content production and dissemination of ECOWAS programs at a national level. Ambassador Ukaeje emphasized the importance of increasing visibility for all ECOWAS activities, particularly during the organization's 50th anniversary year.

During her visit, Ambassador Ukaeje was given a guided tour of the National Television facilities. Discussions centered around the challenges faced by TGB. At the conclusion of these discussions, she reiterated ECOWAS's commitment to supporting Guinea-Bissau and other member states. This support aligns with efforts discussed at a meeting involving television and media officials to ensure greater visibility for ECOWAS.
