State House, Freetown – A financing agreement worth €35 million has been signed between the Government of Sierra Leone and the European Union. The ceremony was presided over by President Dr. Julius Maada Bio.
The agreement aims to support the "Sustainable Food and Agricultural Value Chains Development" programme. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to enhance food security and promote sustainable agricultural practices in Sierra Leone.
President Bio recently participated in significant international engagements, including the inaugural Mission 300 Summit held at the Julius Nyerere International Convention Center in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The summit brought together Heads of State to discuss regional development issues.
Furthermore, Sierra Leone has qualified for a substantial $50 billion initiative. This project is designed to electrify 300 million Africans by 2030, marking a significant milestone in energy access across the continent.
