Sierra Leone's President attends energy summit in Tanzania

His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio has left Freetown for Dar es Salam to participate in the Mission 300 Energy Summit. This event is organized by the World Bank Group and the African Development Bank Group. The summit's primary goal is to advance efforts to connect 300 million Africans to energy by the year 2030.

President Bio will be among other African Heads of State, international partners, philanthropies, and leaders from the private sector at this summit. They aim to promote Mission 300, an initiative focused on expanding energy access and speeding up Africa's transition to clean energy.

Previously, President Bio was in Makeni, Bombali District on January 24th, where he joined locals in celebrating Annual Education Week at the University of Makeni.

In another recent engagement on January 24th, President Dr. Julius Maada Bio presented a symbolic cheque worth $3.7 million at Marampa Mines in Lunsar Town, Port Loko District.
