St Helena's Sustainable Economic Development Strategy 2023-33 highlights the modernization of the Bank of St Helena (BOSH) as essential for advancing the island's financial services and company law. This sector is recognized by the government as a potential driver for economic transformation.

In line with this strategy, the St Helena Government (SHG) is crafting a banking policy aimed at providing both BOSH and SHG with a clear framework to enhance banking services for residents, businesses, and investors on the island.

To support this initiative, BOSH and SHG are collecting feedback from residents, the diaspora, and other users of banking services. The goal is to gather comprehensive data on banking activities to better understand the needs of businesses and individuals. This information will guide future investments towards critical areas.
