Three representatives from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) are scheduled to visit St Helena on January 4, 2025. The delegation will engage in discussions as part of the Financial Aid Mission (FAM) for the 2025-26 financial year.

The delegation includes Adam Pile, Deputy Director of FCDO’s Overseas Territories and Polar Directorate; Hugh Thomas, Economic Advisor; and Ben Stern, Head of St Helena and Tristan da Cunha Team. During their stay, they will receive support from the Governor’s Office team, Ministers, and officials from the St Helena Government (SHG).

The annual FAM provides an opportunity to discuss the delivery and effectiveness of FCDO’s Financial Aid programme in St Helena. It also aims to further develop the partnership between SHG and His Majesty’s Government (HMG). The visiting team is expected to meet with a variety of stakeholders including Ministers, Elected Members, government officials, private sector members, and other interested parties.
