Zenith Bank has continued its annual tradition of lighting up Ajose Adeogun Street in Victoria Island, Lagos, marking the start of the Yuletide season. The event took place on November 23, 2024, and was led by Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive of Zenith Bank Plc.
The Light-Up ceremony is part of Zenith Bank's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives. Now in its 18th year, it features elaborate Christmas decorations that transform Ajose Adeogun Street into a festive wonderland. This display has become a notable tourist attraction, drawing visitors who come to enjoy the decorations and atmosphere.
During the ceremony, Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji remarked, “Over the years, Zenith Bank has hosted this spectacular event, transforming the entire Ajose Adeogun Street into a breathtaking yuletide wonderland." She emphasized the importance of celebrating Christmas's essence and acknowledged Zenith Bank’s CSR efforts. She also expressed gratitude to the Lagos State Government for their support and encouraged everyone to embrace the spirit of Christmas through love and generosity.
Umeoji praised Quantum Markets for their role in creating the decorations. “I want to thank the management of Quantum Markets for all the beautiful, creative and innovative ideas they keep coming up with," she stated.
