Three newly appointed ambassadors have presented their credentials to President Julius Maada Bio in a ceremony at State House, Freetown. The event, held on December 12, 2024, marks the beginning of their diplomatic missions in Sierra Leone.
The diplomats are H.E. Rasha Soliman Mohi Edpin Soliman from the Arab Republic of Egypt, H.E. Julien Yombouno from the Republic of Guinea, and H.E. Carole Van Eyll from the Kingdom of Belgium.
President Bio welcomed the ambassadors and highlighted Sierra Leone's commitment to fostering partnerships that promote mutual interests. He emphasized diplomacy's role in peace, development, and economic growth. "Sierra Leone is committed to being a reliable partner in the global community," President Bio stated, addressing issues like climate change and economic disparities.
