Her Excellency Mrs. Damtien TCHINTCHIBIDJA, Vice President of the ECOWAS Commission, arrived in Guinea on November 18, 2024, with a delegation from the Directorate of Early Warning. The group includes Mrs. Onyinye Nkechi ONWUKA, Acting Director of Early Warning; Mr. Marcel Komi BOSSOU, Acting Head of the Systems Management and Planning Division; and Mrs. Nanténé COULIBALY, Senior Analyst for crime and criminality issues.
The delegation was welcomed by His Excellency Mr. Louis-Blaise AKA-BROU, ECOWAS Resident Representative to Guinea. Their visit aims to officially launch the National Coordination Center for the Early Warning Mechanism and Response to Security Risks in Guinea and attend the center's statutory council meeting on November 20.
Mrs. TCHINTCHIBIDJA is set to meet with Guinea's Prime Minister, Mr. Amadou Oury BAH, on November 19 before the center's inauguration.
During the launch activities, Mrs. TCHINTCHIBIDJA will sign a grant agreement with Guinea’s Minister of Planning and International Cooperation focusing on the Integrated Human Capital Development Strategy. This agreement highlights ECOWAS’s dedication to enhancing the capacities and resilience of its Member States.
