The public is informed about upcoming tree felling at Rupert’s Port and Cargo Facility. This activity is scheduled for Wednesday, April 3, 2024, starting at 07:00. The work will occur between the main yard and the contractor’s site office and laydown area below Hay Town House.
This project is a collaborative effort by the Programme Management Office (PMO) and the Environment, Natural Resources and Planning (ENRP) Portfolio.
A notable aspect of this operation involves a tree that currently hosts a swarm of bees. An experienced beekeeper will assist in safely removing the bees. The public and users of the area are advised to take necessary precautions to protect themselves, others, and pets due to potential increased bee activity during this time.
Although the main road will remain open, those accessing lower Rupert’s might experience some delays.
For additional details, Site Supervisor Mr. Glenn Owen can be contacted via mobile telephone at 51203.
The public's patience and understanding are appreciated in advance.
