President Boakai appoints interim leaders at Liberia Refugee Commission

President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr., has announced the appointment of Mr. Jackson J. Paye as Officer in Charge and Mr. Joseph Boye Cooper as Interim Deputy Director for Operations at the Liberia Refugee Repatriation and Resettlement Commission (LRRRC). This leadership change is effective immediately.

The interim leadership will oversee the operations of the LRRRC during a transitional period. Their responsibilities include maintaining stability within the institution, addressing refugee needs, and ensuring continued public service delivery.

Furthermore, they are expected to collaborate with the Liberia Anti-Corruption Commission in its investigation into recent administrative issues. President Boakai stressed that this leadership should uphold high ethical standards to restore public trust and promote integrity within public institutions.

The President urged Mr. Paye, Mr. Cooper, and their team to act with diligence and professionalism for the country's best interests.

President Boakai emphasized that all officials must demonstrate commitment, integrity, professionalism, and loyalty in their roles.
