The event focused on the Continental Results Framework (CRF) for monitoring and reporting on the Women, Peace, and Security (WPS) Agenda. Held from October 28 to 30, 2024, at Axil Hotel, the workshop aimed to enhance national stakeholders' capacity and improve coordination in using the CRF tool.

She stressed that accurate data is essential for policy development and resource mobilization related to advancing the WPS agenda. "She emphasized the importance of accurate data as being is critical in guiding the development and implementation of policies," Ms. Golit noted.
Representing Senegal's Minister of Family and Solidarity, Mme Astou Fall underscored Senegal's dedication to national unity through security and peace initiatives that prioritize women and youth. This aligns with Senegal's 2050 vision for a united country. "This political will reinforces the strategic objectives of the 2nd National Action Plan for implementing Resolution 1325," she stated.
Participants concluded that a forum should be organized to bring together women leaders from Southern Senegal, The Gambia, and Guinea Bissau to enhance their mediation skills. They also agreed on collaborating with development partners through annual work plans.
The workshop brought together over 30 participants from various sectors including government ministries, agencies, women's organizations, youth groups, and civil society organizations (CSOs). It was supported by ECOWAS Peace and Security Architecture Operations (EPSAO), co-funded by the European Union and Germany's Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), implemented by GIZ.
