St Helena signs contract with MPAMOT Africa for wastewater management solutions

St Helena Government has announced a new contract with MPAMOT Africa (PTY) Ltd, a consultancy firm based in Cape Town, South Africa. The agreement focuses on developing wastewater solutions for the areas of Half Tree Hollow and Jamestown.

MPAMOT Africa is recognized for its extensive experience in engineering and development across various sectors, including infrastructure, transportation, energy, and advisory services. The company has been involved in several significant projects throughout Africa.

The initial phase of the Wastewater Management Upgrade Project involves a thorough investigation of existing systems. This will help determine suitable solutions for St Helena's unique conditions and landscape. Recommendations will be made for viable and sustainable design options. As the project advances, St Helena Government emphasizes its commitment to inclusive development and stakeholder engagement.

This initiative is part of the £30 million Economic Development Investment Programme funded by the UK Government. The government aims to enhance infrastructure and promote sustainable practices on the island.

Interested parties are invited to register their interest in the project. Registration can be completed online or via hard copy forms available at the Public Library in Jamestown. Completed forms should be submitted either at the library or emailed to engagement@mpamot.com.
