The Royal St Helena Police Service (RSHP) and the Customer Service Centre (CSC) are collaborating to promote public safety and adherence to licensing regulations. The RSHP and CSC have issued a reminder for the community regarding their obligation to renew licenses on time.
Effective immediately, the CSC will cease providing reminders for renewal dates of certain licenses. These include:
- Driver’s License
- Vehicle License
- Dog License
- Firearms License
License holders are now solely responsible for tracking expiration dates and renewing their licenses as required. Failure to do so may result in penalties and legal consequences, with any subsequent offenses being investigated accordingly.
Key points emphasized by the RSHP and CSC include:
- All drivers must hold a valid driver’s license appropriate for the type of vehicle they operate.
- Vehicles must be registered, have a valid vehicle license, be maintained in safe condition, and comply with all relevant regulations.
- Vehicle owners must ensure they have valid insurance coverage to protect both the vehicle and its drivers in case of accidents or incidents.
- Firearms must be licensed and used only under specified conditions.
- Dogs must be licensed according to local regulations.
