The African Union Commission is launching the second phase of its African Union Research Grant program.
The grant program is designed to support the AUC's long-term planning initiatives around scientific research, technology and economic development across the continent. It is endowed with $19.6 million from the European Union to invest in these fields over two grant cycles, one this year and one in 2017.
Submissions to this year's Request for Proposals are due by Aug. 17. Application details are available at
