Deal to make Masada exclusive Sierra Leone distributor of MagneGas fuel

U.S.-based hydrogen fuel technology company MagneGas Corp. signed a memo of understanding (MoU) with Sierra Leone-based Masada Waste Management, which will import MagneGas fuel and equipment, MagneGas said on Wednesday.

The partnership will make Masada Sierra Leone's exclusive distributor of MagneGas fuel.

The companies' collaboration will focus on development of sustainable solutions in sanitation, waste management, and health and safety. This will be done largely through MagneGas' patented process that converts liquid waste into hydrogen-based MagneGas fuel.

This not only will be a boon for Sierra Leone's environment, but also will create job opportunities for the nation's 6 million people.

"MagneGas has presented Sierra Leone with the opportunity to create many needed jobs, while also addressing waste management, resource preservation and a source of fuel," Gibril Wilson, Masada's primary owner and CEO, said. "We are very excited to take advantage of this opportunity and work with MagneGas to implement their much-needed technology while making as big of an impact as we can for our community."

The initiative has personal meaning for Wilson, a Sierra Leone native who moved to the U.S. to play for the National Football League, winning a Super Bowl with the New York Giants. After retirement from the NFL, Wilson returned to Sierra Leone.
