Dr. Omobola Johnson recently joined TLcom Capital as a partner in the wake of a million-dollar investment to come.
A minister of Communication Technology in Nigeria under former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Johnson announced her new TLcom partnership at a Demo Africa 2015 event.
In addition to her new role, Dr. Johnson elaborated on TLcom's prospects, which include the Technology and Innovation for Developing Economies (TIDE) Fund that will invest $100 million in a number of startups located throughout Sub-Saharan Africa.
For its part, TLcom, based in London and Nairobi, is a venture capital firm that focuses on early as well as later stage investments, with a particular interest in technology companies.
