President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone has officially inaugurated a transit transport terminal and traffic signal system in Freetown. The event took place at the Lumley Transport Terminal on November 27, 2024. This development is part of an ongoing initiative to enhance the transportation infrastructure within the country.
In addition to this commissioning, President Bio also led an oath-taking and decoration ceremony for Major General Amara Idara Bangura on November 26, 2024. Major General Bangura's appointment marks a significant moment in the country's military leadership.
Earlier in the week, on November 23, 2024, President Bio opened the 29th Ministerial Committee Meeting of the Inter-Governmental Action Group. This meeting was another key event highlighting Sierra Leone's active role in regional cooperation and governance.
