President Boakai nominates officials across key government agencies

The President of Liberia, Joseph Nyuma Boakai, has announced new nominations and appointments for various government positions. The affected institutions include the Ministry of Finance Development Planning, the Civil Service Agency, the Financial Intelligence Agency, the Liberia Land Authority, the Bureau of State Enterprises, the Liberia Special Economic Zones Authority, and the Office of the Ombudsman.

For the Ministry of Finance Development Planning, nominees are Paul Lamin as Assistant Minister for Administration; J. Wellington Barchue as Assistant Minister for Development Planning; Alice Williams as Assistant Minister for External Resources and Debt Management; Henry Yanquoi as Assistant Minister for Economic Policy Macro and Financial Sector; Dede Sandimani as Assistant Minister for Expenditure; and Andrew N. Ngolloe as Assistant Minister for Revenue and Tax Policy.

Mohammed Nasser has been nominated as Officer In Charge at the Financial Intelligence Agency. Cllr. Findley Karngar is nominated to serve as Chairperson at the Office of the Ombudsman.

Varlee Sarnor has been appointed Deputy Director General for Administration at the Bureau of State Enterprises. Prince Wreh is named Executive Chairman at the Liberia Special Economic Zones Authority.

Joe K. Williams will serve as Vice Chair for Administration and Customer Affairs at the Liberia Land Authority.

The Civil Service Agency Board of Appeal sees several nominations: Dr. Jarso Jallah Saygbe, Cllr. Cooper Kruah, Dwight Momolu Harvey Eds., Atty. John F Dexter Puieyou, Cllr. Samuel Zaza, Mr. Gwee Porkpah, and Mr. Josiah F. Joekai Jr., all appointed as members.

These nominations require confirmation by the Liberian Senate where applicable.

President Boakai urged those nominated to exhibit "diligence," "commitment," "integrity," "professionalism," and "loyalty" in their service to Liberia.
