Ivory Coast is set to host the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Regional Conference for Africa for the next two years.
Mamadou Sangafowa Coulibaly, minister of agriculture and rural development; Bukar Tijani, FAO assistant director-general and regional representative for Africa; and Germain Dasylva, FAO representative to Ivory Coast, recently briefed the press on this year’s upcoming conference, which will take place Monday in the Sofitel Abidjan Hôtel Ivoire.
More than 50 ministers of agriculture and 49 countries will attend the conference.
Additionally, representatives from regional, intra-regional and international organizations, civil society and the private sector can come to the conference as observers.
