The Provisional Register of Electors for 2025 is set to be published on Friday, May 9, 2025. Eligible individuals will have until 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 23, 2025, to submit applications using Form 'A' to amend the provisional register.
Those with St Helenian Status as defined by law (Immigration Ordinance, 2011), who are ordinarily resident on St Helena and aged 17 years or over, can make amendments such as adding their name, updating details like a change of name or address, or changing the electoral district in which they vote.
"It is your responsibility to check the Provisional Register when it is issued and to make an application to amend it if you wish to," according to the announcement. This includes adding one's name if it is not already listed.
The final register dated July 1, 2025, will be used for this year's General Election. To participate in activities such as sponsoring, supporting candidates, standing as a candidate, or voting, names must be included in this register. No additions will be allowed after its publication.
Completed Forms 'A' can be submitted between May 9 and May 23 in hard copy or via email to officers at the Castle including Carol Henry (carol.henry@sainthelena.gov.sh), Anita Legg (anita.legg@sainthelena.gov.sh), Gillian Francis (gillian.francis@sainthelena.gov.sh), Connie Johnson (connie.johnson@sainthelena.gov.sh) or any Assistant Registration Officers listed online.
Residents currently offshore can apply using Form 'B'. Both forms are available on the SHG website at www.sainthelena.gov.sh/government/public-information/elections/.
