Tsegah heads the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Election Observation Mission (EOM), while Mbari leads the African Union (AU) EOM. Their meeting took place on November 15, involving 104 observers set to be deployed as part of a joint ECOWAS-AU mission.

The ambassadors also visited key institutions involved in the election process. These included courtesy calls at the Ministry of African Integration and Foreign Affairs, the Directorate General of Elections (DGE), and the Autonomous National Electoral Commission (CENA). They engaged with senior officials from these entities.

Their objective was to assess preparations for the upcoming elections and ensure that observer deployment would proceed smoothly across Senegal. The ambassadors reiterated their organizations' commitment to supporting Senegal and other member states in fostering democracy through peaceful, credible, and transparent elections whose results are widely accepted.

Ambassadors Tsegah and Mbari praised Senegalese authorities for their excellent preparations for Sunday's elections and noted the calm atmosphere during electoral campaigns.
