President Adama Barrow Closes 15th OIC Islamic Summit in The Gambia

His Excellency, Mr. Adama Barrow, President of the Republic of The Gambia and Chairman of the 15th Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Islamic Summit, expressed gratitude and praise to all involved in the successful hosting of the historic Summit, held in The Gambia.

President Barrow commended the efforts of the Secretariat of the OIC in Saudi Arabia and The Gambia for their dedication in ensuring the Summit's success, stating, "We are most thankful to everyone involved in the process for making this dream come true in such a remarkable manner."

Acknowledging the contributions of various individuals and entities, President Barrow highlighted, "We proudly associate the success of the Summit to years of hard work and the collective commitment of the Organisation."

In his closing remarks, President Barrow emphasized the importance of unity, dialogue, and sustainable development within the Ummah, stating, "The responsibility rests collectively on the Organisation to seek lasting solutions to the plight of people in distress... We must embrace tolerance as a core value for sustainable peace, development, and stability."

As the incoming Chairman of the Organisation, President Barrow urged all Member States to cooperate with The Gambia during their three-year tenure to promote the ideals of the OIC and advance the socio-economic status of the Ummah.

President Barrow concluded by expressing gratitude to all participants and well-wishers, declaring, "We thank all the delegations, participants, and well-wishers for your valued presence and for making the Summit memorable and fruitful for the Muslim World and humankind."

The 15th Summit of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation, held in Banjul, The Gambia, was officially closed by President Adama Barrow, marking a fresh start for engagement and cooperation within the Muslim Ummah.
