Industrial engine manufacturer Cummins has entered into a deal that gives BIA the rights to distribute its engines, generators and filtration units throughout numerous countries in Africa.
Under the agreement, the Belgium-based company is now the official distributor of Cummins industrial engines and generators in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Chad, the Congo, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), the Central African Republic and Togo. It also distributes generators for Ivory Coast. Additionally, BIA has been named the official dealer for Cummins filter systems across the entire territory.
"The extension of our Cummins distribution contract is important to our company," BIA Africa General Manager Eric Perben said. "Our employees have had the opportunity to develop their expertise over the years, so we are ready to provide outstanding service to our current and future customers. We really believe in Cummins products and we are proud to distribute them."
Cummins is a leader in both the industrial engine market and in the motorized systems fields of filtration, exhaust systems, cooling fluids and chemical technologies. Its filters enable engines to operate at maximum capacity with engines offering up to 3,500 horsepower. This allows for a lesser impact on the environment and reduces costs. Cummins' engines are used in a wide range of vehicles and equipment throughout the world.
