The Network of Trade Promotion Organizations (TPOs) of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) will hold its 4th Annual General Meeting from July 16 to 18, 2024, in Banjul, The Gambia.

The meeting will be attended by representatives of TPOs from ECOWAS Member States or similar organizations, the International Trade Centre (ITC), and staff from the ECOWAS Commission.

Participants will analyze and approve the Network’s work plan and budget for the 2024-2025 period. They will also review the results and lessons learned from the Network’s participation in the 2023 Intra-African Trade Fair, organized in Cairo, Egypt, from November 9 to 15, 2023.

Additionally, attendees will elect members of the Network’s 4th Bureau for 2024-2025 and review activities implemented since the Network’s 3rd General Assembly held in Bissau, Guinea-Bissau on July 5 and 6, 2023.

The regional organization’s Council of Ministers created the ECOWAS Trade Promotion Organizations Network on June 17, 2021, at its 86th ordinary session. This network is composed of public sector entities that work closely with the ECOWAS Commission to promote development and trade in West Africa.

The Network also aims to strengthen economic and trade cooperation by encouraging more dynamic collaboration between ECOWAS Member states and trading partners globally.
