The U.S. Bureau of Population, Refugees and Migration announced a funding opportunity for NGO programs in Cote d’Ivoire that benefit Ivoirian refugee returnees.
The qualifying NGOs should target a beneficiary base of at least 50 percent of refugee returnees and focus on a sector related to either livelihood, protection, shelter or social cohesion and community reconciliation.
In addition, these NGOs should support refugee returnees to Cote d’Ivoire who are currently living in Bloléquin, Danane, Duékoué, Guiglo, Man, San-Pédro, Séguéla, Soubré, Tabou, Tai, Touba, Toulépleu, Zouan-Hounien, Abidjan and surrounding areas.
Priority will be given to NGOs that have demonstrated a proven track record in providing assistance in the aforementioned sectors. They should also be able to prove that they collaborate with international organizations and other NGOs.
To be eligible, proposing organizations must either be nonprofits that have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; nonprofits without 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education; or international organizations.
The deadline for proposals is Tuesday, April 5.
