New York-based Transpay, a B2B/B2P cross-border payments platform, was honored Wednesday during Nigeria's Kalahari Awards.
Transpay was named "Best e-Commerce Payment Solution" and was recognized for its services that allow business and individual customers to send mass, rapid payouts via its independent direct-to-bank network.
Transpay is used by customers in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya.
"We're thrilled to receive this recognition for our technology platform and service to the banks and recipients in the region," Nagarajan Rao, Transpay's senior vice president, said. "As our clients continue to expand into Africa, Transpay's solutions are ready to enable business to be conducted by delivering rapid payouts, directly into recipients' bank accounts or to a preferred cash transfer location."
The Kalahari Awards are an event of the Remittance & Mobile Money Expo. They recognize banks, mobile money providers and regulators that have had a positive impact in the digital payment field.
"Transpay will continue to provide innovative and cost-effective solutions that help to reduce the inefficiencies and disintermediation that plague the payment industry," Rao said.
