A delegation of 14 companies representing Scottish oil and gas interests will visit Ghana Jan. 21 and Jan. 22 to learn more about the Ghanaian energy market and look for local business partners.
The Scotland government's Scottish Development International (SDI) has kept an office in Accra since 2014 to monitor the country's interests in oil, gas and education. SDI will be in charge of leading the delegation, which includes not only oil and gas businesses, but also other types of Scottish companies standing to benefit from an increase in oil and gas development projects.
“I am delighted to be bringing such a large trade delegation from Scotland, all of whom are interested in helping to develop and build the Ghanaian oil and gas industry for the benefit of its citizens," SDI Regional Manager for Africa Gary Soper said. "Subsectors represented include education and training, subsea engineering, winches, electrical product distribution, well construction, and engineering services, and remote communications systems to name but a few."
The full roster includes 271 Offshore, ACE Winches, AEL Electrical, Core Specialist Services Ltd, Forth Valley College, Glasgow Caledonian University, JEE, McDermott, Peprime Limited, Plexus, RigNet, Robert Gordon University, Terasaki Electric Ltd. and Zenith Energy.
