Sama to begin drilling at Ivory Coast mine site

Miners from Sama Resources Inc., a Canadian exploration company focused on copper, nickel and gold mining, will seek base metals at a site in the West African nation of Ivory Coast after being approved for a new exploration license, dubbed the "Grata Permit." 

The exploration site covers about 80 square kilometers and is situated next to the northeast boundary of the site covered by Sama's Samapleu Exploration Permit. The new site, Sama officials believe, will yield significant nickel-copper-palladium mineralizations; boreholes near the new site have yielded aggregates of nickel, copper and iron sulfides.

Surface exploration has already begun; Sama explorers will soon begin drilling exploration holes. Sama will also conduct a downhole electromagnetic survey -- most likely before the end of the first quarter of 2016 -- in order to determine more precisely what the target depth for drilling should be.
