To celebrate Western Union's 20 years of service in Africa, CEO Hikmet Ersek will take a regional tour of the continent and participate in an online press conference at 11 a.m. (GMT) on Friday.
This will provide journalists the opportunity to ask Ersek questions live via the Internet. The conference will be presented in English with simultaneous translation to French.
Participation is free and requires a computer with Internet connection.
Ersek will discuss Western Union's dedication to serving the people of Africa, as well as the role the company played in making money transfer services available in the continent, and the vision Western Union has for the future with regard to money transfer and digital payment services.
Ersek also will speak about Western Union's digital global solutions and the results of a recent study the company conducted on the needs of African migrants.
