Police panel meeting set for January with public invited

The upcoming Police and Crime Panel meeting is scheduled for January 22, 2025. It will be held at the Education Learning Centre in Jamestown from 14:30 to 16:00. The agenda includes a report from the Chief of Police and a question and answer session. A summary of the report will be available on the SHG website one day before the meeting.

The panel comprises several key figures: Governor Nigel Phillips CBE, who serves as Chairperson; Simon Minshull, Administrator of Ascension Island; Jeffrey Ellick, Minister for Safety, Security and Home Affairs (SSHA); Gillian Brooks, Elected Member of the St Helena Legislative Council; Alex Mitham, Portfolio Director for SSHA; Simon Dykes, Crown Prosecutor; and Catherine Turner, CEO for the Equality and Human Rights Commission.

Community members and stakeholders are encouraged to attend and contribute to ongoing reforms.
