Burger King opens first Ivory Coast restaurant in new Abidjan mall

The first Burger King restaurant in Ivory Coast opened recently at the new CFAO PlaYce Marcory Shopping Mall, which opened late last week in Abidjan.

The new restaurant created 50 jobs.

"We are excited to introduce the Burger King brand to this important market," Bruno Lino, Burger King's president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, said. "We look forward to welcoming guests in Abidjan and giving them the chance to experience the great-tasting, high-quality products that have delighted Burger King guests for more than 60 years."

Burger King is a U.S.-based company and the second-largest fast-food hamburger chain in the world. The Ivory Coast restaurant is independently owned and operated through a franchise agreement with Servair Abidjan, an arm of global airline catering and logistics company Servair.
