Progress moving forward on Nampala Mine expansion
Construction of the diesel central is already completed construction, with the start of the power station with its extensions planned for Oct. 15 and the chain feeder, the scrubber, the two story screen, the linear rotary screen and the additional two CIL tanks set to be up and operating by Oct. 20. The start of permanent, large ball mill and cyclone tower that will achieve a target of more than 4,000 tons per day is scheduled for December.
The supply of materials and equipment has been smooth; however, the construction was interrupted by a difficult rainy season.
The small and temporary ball mill started on July 20, with a target capacity of 600 tons per day. The test phase (commissioning) was completed and the amount of crushed ore is gradually increasing. It is presently at over 50 percent of the target goal of 600 tons per day.
Robex recently announced the appointment of Fabiola Lacroix as the company’s corporate secretary. Lacroix has been with the company as an assistant to the controller since February 2014 and now performs both functions.
