Blox Inc. has released the latest grade results from a near surface infill diamond core sampling campaign in Guinea.
The diamond core sampling, performed in September, was aimed at analyzing the mineralized continuity of the oxide resource near surface. The primary results reveals that Mansounia minerals tends to expand near the surface in depths up to 50 meters.
Due the early positive results, Blox has expressed its optimism concerning the expectations of having a long-lasting project in Mansounia.
“It
is still early days in the Mansounia development program with less than
half of the infill sampling being completed to date, that said, the
results thus far illustrate the continued strengthening of the near
surface mineralised trend Blox Chief Executive Officer Robert Spiers
said.
The initiative
is a result from a previous data study performed by Preliminary
Economic Assessment and completed by Spiers Geological Consultants (SGC).
In its report, SGC suggested the latest diamond core samples assessing mineralized grades were undertaken to complete prior research in which open pit areas were undersampled.
The sampling is an ongoing program Blox expects to conclude during the Fiscal Year 2015. A further independent resource review update is yet to be performed and will include geological and structural evaluations from the area.
