ECREEE, the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, unveiled a new website on April 22, 2024. The website is designed to provide easy access to information on sustainable energy initiatives in the ECOWAS region and promote awareness of ECREEE's efforts in promoting renewable energy and energy efficiency in West Africa.

The website features a user-friendly interface, intuitive navigation, mobile-friendly design, and updated content. It aims to provide users with easy access to information about ECREEE, its programs/projects, initiatives, publications, news, and events. Additionally, the website offers a wealth of resources targeted at various stakeholders, including policymakers, the private sector, civil society, financial and technical partners, and the general public.

In line with its objectives, the new website also aims to promote the visibility of ECOWAS initiatives on renewable energy and energy efficiency in the region. It provides content in the three official ECOWAS languages (English, French, and Portuguese) and includes links to the ECOWAS Commission’s portal and other affiliated institutions and specialized agencies. This comprehensive approach ensures that the website serves as a gateway for accessing information and staying informed about ECOWAS interventions in sustainable energy development.
