St Helena will host the Momentum Multiply Titans, a professional cricket team from South Africa, for a week-long pre-season training camp. The team and their coaching staff are set to arrive on the island on Saturday, 23 August, staying until Saturday, 30 August 2025.

The Titans are based in Centurion and have a record of championship wins. They are also recognized for producing players who join South Africa’s national cricket team, the Proteas. This visit marks the first time St Helena will welcome a professional cricket squad of this level for training.

During their stay, the Titans will engage in several community activities. These include coaching clinics aimed at young cricketers and multimedia workshops led by SuperSport production staff to help local filmmakers and content creators develop their skills.

Key events planned throughout the week involve participation in the Annual Scouts’ Sports Day on Sunday, 24 August; a cricket session with the St Helena Cricket Association (SHCA) and a sports videography masterclass with Derek Alberts from SuperSport on Monday, 25 August; youth activities with New Horizons Youth Club followed by the Jacob’s Ladder Challenge on Tuesday, 26 August; and another SHCA session on Thursday, 28 August where local players can train alongside professionals.

This initiative is supported through collaboration with Airlink, Sure St Helena, The St Helena Cricket Association, The Mantis Hotel and other local businesses. It demonstrates St Helena’s capacity to host significant sporting events.

“The St Helena Government (SHG) is pleased to announce that the island will host the Momentum Multiply Titans, a South African professional cricket team. This marks the first time that a professional cricket team of this calibre has held a training camp on the island,” said SHG.

“SHG welcomes the Momentum Multiply Titans and looks forward to showcasing the island’s unique hospitality and culture during their stay.”
