St Helena hosts press conference with Financial Aid Mission delegation

St Helena Government is set to host a press conference on January 10, 2025, with the Financial Aid Mission (FAM) Delegation from the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO). The event will be held in the Governor’s office and will run from 15:00 to 15:30 GMT.

The panel for this press conference will include His Excellency Governor Nigel Phillips, Chief Minister Julie Thomas, and Adam Pile, Deputy Director of FCDO’s Overseas Territories and Polar Directorate. The discussion will focus on the FAM visit occurring this week. Key topics will include progress in discussions regarding recurrent funding for the financial year 2025/6, areas experiencing significant budget pressure, and St Helena Government’s response strategy.
