The St Helena Government has announced it received an investment proposal for the development of Mundens and its surrounding land, which covers approximately 20 acres. This area includes former military fortifications, historic buildings, and diverse coastal terrain, offering a mix of historical, cultural, and strategic importance.

On June 17, 2025, the Executive Council approved adding Mundens to the government’s disposal register. The government is committed to ensuring best value and exploring all potential options. It is now inviting developers and investors to submit further development proposals for this site with significant potential.
