St Helena joins the global aviation community in celebrating International Civil Aviation Day, recognizing the essential role of international civil aviation in connecting the world and fostering social and economic development. This is particularly significant for St Helena, a territory with geographical challenges.

In celebration of this occasion, travelers are reminded of promotional return fares available until March 2025. The St Helena Government’s Civil Aviation and Tourism Office is collaborating with Airlink, St Helena’s Air Service Provider, and international marketing firms to promote the route and the island as a destination. Return flights are being offered at promotional rates starting from £640 or ZAR14,820.00 to stimulate demand and support the island’s economy.

“This day highlights the critical role of international civil aviation connecting the world,” stated representatives from St Helena Government. They emphasized that advancements in aviation have transformed travel, trade, and communication globally.

International Civil Aviation Day serves as a tribute to those who have contributed to these advancements—from early 20th-century pioneers to today’s engineers and pilots ensuring safe air travel worldwide.
