At the 48th Session of the Governing Council of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) in Rome, Sierra Leone’s President, Dr. Julius Maada Bio, delivered a keynote address. The event took place on February 12, 2025.

The day before, on February 11, 2025, President Bio was honored with the “Distinguished Service Order” by Joseph Nyuma Boakai. This ceremony occurred at the Barclay Training Centre in Monrovia, Liberia.

President Bio’s participation in these events underscores his active role in international agricultural development discussions and recognition for his service contributions.
