His Excellency Dr. Julius Maada Bio, along with First Lady Dr. Fatima Maada Bio, Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh, and other cabinet ministers, attended a memorial service on March 23, 2025, at St. John Paul II Quasi Church in Grafton. The event marked the first death anniversary of Mrs. Agnes Ann-Marie Deen-Jalloh.

The ceremony was attended by family members, Catholic Church leaders, and mourners who gathered to celebrate the life of Madam Agnes. The late Mrs. Deen-Jalloh was remembered as a devout Catholic and a valued community member.

Madam Sarah Din Kargbo delivered the First Scripture Reading from Exodus 3:1–8a, 13-15 during the service: “When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called him from within the bush, ‘Moses! Moses!’ And Moses said, ‘Here I am.’ ‘Do not come any closer,’ God said. ‘Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.’”

Rev. Fr. Cornelius O. Apili, S.J., officiated the service and reminded attendees of God’s focus on sincerity rather than physical presence. He spoke about loyalty and genuine relationships and emphasized forgiveness’s role in achieving peace of mind.

Dr. Susan Roberts represented Catholic women in her tribute to Madam Agnes, highlighting her faith and commitment to the church while encouraging preparation for life’s end with devotion.

Madam Rubiatu Juma Deen-Jalloh expressed gratitude on behalf of her family for those attending to honor her mother’s life and thanked the Catholic Church community for their support.

Rev. Fr. Samuel Von Tucker concluded by thanking clergy and church members for their hospitality and prayed for Madam Agnes’s eternal rest.

The memorial underscored themes of faith, love, and community values.
