Sierra Leone’s President Dr. Julius Maada Bio has concluded a one-day working visit to Burkina Faso at the invitation of his counterpart. This visit follows closely on the heels of his State Opening of Parliament Address delivered in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

During his address on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, President Bio highlighted significant advancements in agriculture and food security. He also underscored improvements in affordable and quality healthcare.

President Bio has recently assumed the role of President of the UN Security Council, expressing optimism for productive engagements during his tenure.
