In an effort to further enhance its remote mobile asset monitoring capabilities for its customers, Securis Africa has entered into a strategic partnership with driver risk management company AlertDriving.

Securis has begun using the AlertDriving’s

FleetDefense app, which is available for use on any tablet, cell phone or computer. The app monitors drivers’ decision-making processes.

“Drivers make about 200 decisions every mile they drive,” AlertDriving Vice President of Sales Rob Martin said. “Through consistent training and testing, fleets gain valuable insights about the underlying behavioral triggers behind most accidents.”

FleetDefense uses short lessons given over a significant period of time, a method devised by AlertDriving known as Pulse Training.

“With the industry’s broadest courseware library, Securis can monitor driver risk using specific global metrics to benchmark a range of behaviors—speeding, distractions, fatigue—all through test scores,” Martin said.

AlertDriving has, to date, trained more than 2 million drivers. The company offers a variety of services to help companies with global fleets pinpoint and monitor risk exposure.
