President Joseph Nyuma Boakai, Sr. visited Lofa County University in Voinjama during his annual Christmas trip to Foya District. During the visit, he met with university leaders and faculty to discuss higher education and development in Liberia.
While at the university, President Boakai officially opened a new Student and Faculty Lounge, named “The Caucus’ Lounge.” The lounge was constructed by the university with support from the Lofa County Legislative Caucus. The facility is intended to provide a space for academic interaction and engagement between students and faculty.
The dedication ceremony included members of the Lofa Legislative Caucus, university administrators, and local stakeholders. This event highlighted collaboration between national leadership and local institutions.
After dedicating the lounge, President Boakai met briefly with members of the Lofa County Legislative Caucus and the University Administration. He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to supporting the institution as an important part of human capital development in the region. President Boakai stated: “Investing in education remains central to national progress.” He also assured the university community of continued government partnership in advancing learning opportunities for young Liberians.
